xINFORM: Structured Data for Decision Making and Research
xINFORM can automatically gather medical records from virtually any US institution, structure it, and create a comprehensive picture of a patient’s journey. This is a crucial component to enable doctors and tumor boards to make the best treatment decisions.
What is xINFORM?
xINFORM is a free online service from xCures, a trusted DDRFA partner. After you create an account on xINFORM, and sign a medical record release, artificial intelligence is used to retrieve, aggregate, scan and organize all of your loved one’s medical records in one place, even when you change provider, network or care setting.
It’s designed to make finding treatment options easier and ultimately more hopeful by providing access to a wealth of data-rich information and support.
Medical data comes in all kinds of forms. You and anyone you choose to have access, deserve to have it organized, structured, fully usable and available when you need it.
How Does it Work?
After you consent online, xINFORM will use National Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) to collect all your loved one’s genomic data, imaging, and clinical records. Most information is received within hours and xINFORM follows up on any records not provided through the HIEs and typically receives the additional records within a week.
You will receive a comprehensive summary of dates, tests, and treatment information that is structured, organized, and uploaded into a secure vault. It is available for you, your providers, and your My DIPG Navigator nurse. Centralizing all data makes it easier to understand the full medical history and context. It is also portable, so you have the information you need as you travel to clinical trials or have emergency room visits.
For years to come when you want to look back at certain diagnostics, lab work, clinical notes, genomic reports or MRI’s, your loved one’s records will be available to you. We hope this gives you peace of mind in knowing that your loved one’s story through patient data is preserved.
Using Your Patient Data
Cancer is personal and complex. Data plays a key role in finding the best treatments in rare pediatric cancers such as DIPG and DMG. xINFORM’s underlying technology enables data to be used to benefit your loved one in different ways.
For instance, by comparing and contrasting your loved one’s data with the aggregated DIPG DMG data, you may find valuable insights into potential treatment options or outcomes. Relevant published research can be flagged to give you a comprehensive, unbiased overview specific to your loved one’s tumor attributes. This can empower families to make more informed decisions throughout the journey while knowing they are also contributing to the broader effort to combat DIPG DMG.
xINFORM is available to answer questions by phone or email concerning these reports. xINFORM offers the expertise of a DIPG DMG dedicated Data Navigator to help answer your questions and guide you through the information. xINFORM has been serving DIPG DMG patients for over five years. xCures, who created xINFORM, understands how health data is created, where it is stored and how to access it to best help.
